Man, the cops here are nice...

So I almost killed a guy on a bike yesterday. We'll tell you all about it when we get back. All I'm gonna say is that we spent some time at the cop shop and had our car confiscated for the day. Good times...

Anyway, we are headed to the Guinness Storehouse today and then we will be leaving for the countryside. I'm told the roads are even worse, but there is less traffic. We will be passing through Limerick on our way to the Cliffs of Moher, and then up to Galway. From there we will be driving through Connemara, which is supposed to be one of the most picturesque areas of Ireland. After that, we will make our way to Belfast. Northern Ireland to catch the ferry to Scotland.

Hi all. Not much to say. We have met some really nice Dubliners and some really cranky Dubliners. I think what has surprised me the most is just how many tourists there are here. Particularly surprising were the number of Asians. I wasn't ready for that in Ireland.

Also fun were all the public urinations we got to see. This is truly a party town. The Temple Bar area was like a little Bohemia. Loved it. Well, I think that is all for me

Helooo! I can't wait to get out of the city! It's true that every big city is pretty much the same. The countryside will be so much nicer. So far, the coffee is awesome, but all the places we've gone so far to eat have been in tourist zones so the prices are high and the portions tiny. Umm....I can't think of anything else to say. Except that Garda (Officer) Dave is our hero, and I got to chat up the local criminal element already. O'Connell street is beautiful. There are new pictures posted finally. The guy in the statue is Daniel O'Connell himself. It looks much bigger in person. Temple Bar was cool. Well, that's all for now. Miss you all. Much love.

Cheers, Heidi

Sounds like you're having quite the experience so far. Keep it up, except for the traffic problems. I look forward to hearing some good stories upon your return.

okay, totally should have looked around the site more before commanding ya'll to take pictures. i love the one with Angie & the cows (when my sister was in Wales earlier this summer, she got some pictures with cows too--is that some celtic theme? what?) and the Adam too tall for the door one!

Hope it's okay to put a link to this from my (nearly defunct) site (if not, i'll unlink-you, i'm doing it now).
