Greetings from Sligo, Ireland

We are cruising right through Ireland. I can't imagine it being bigger than Wisconsin. Driving has been much better since we left the big city of Dublin. Now that I am a little more comfortable with driving on the left with a left handed stick shift, the country roads have been a lot of fun. They are twisty and hilly and the speed limit is ungodly fast. Think of some of the back roads around Eau Claire where you wouldn't think of going faster than 35 mph. Imagine that they are 2/3rds the width and now drive 65mph. That is kind of what its like. The last few days have led us from Dublin, through Limerick, to the Cliffs of Moher, Dromoland Castle, Galway, the loop around Connemara National Park, to here in Sligo. Tomorrow we head out for Belfast to catch the ferry to Scotland. We will miss the car, but I will be very glad I won't have to drive in these crazy cities anymore. There are new pics posted. See ya in Scotland!

Hello all!

Yesterday, we snuck into Dromoland Castle and ran around in places I'm sure were not on the tour. We spent the night in what we believe to be a Pikey camp (or maybe they were gypsies), and we hiked the cliffs of Moher. Quite an adventure so far. The cliffs were spectacular, and our pictures cannot even begin to capture the amazing beauty of the place. Oh, by the way, we're seriously strapped for cash. The exchange rate is really hitting us hard, so any time anyone feels like dropping a few bucks in my checking account, by all means, feel free. Other than that, we're having fun. It's a lot of hard work though trekking across the continent. It feels like we've been in Europe for weeks now, not just days. Oh yeah, mom, please don't forget to take care of Charlie while Ian is gone. I believe it is going to be the 3rd to the 7th. Well, that's all for now. We're starving and need to go find a pub and some grub. By the way, Galway sucked due to the races, and we didn't even stay to look around. Adam says hi. We'll check in again probably in Scotland. Love to all.
